Detica Forensics, a new service from Detica, investigates unusual, unauthorised or illegal computer activities for the financial services, telecommunications, corporate, law enforcement and legal communities.

Our investigators are specialists in revealing and following the trail of digital evidence found in networks and on all forms of electronic devices including Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, music players, thumb drives, workstations and laptops.

We use a variety of techniques to establish the provenance of digital data, from the analysis of document metadata, steganalysis and cryptography to the usage and access patterns of an individual’s email account and their workstation hard drive.

In cases of dispute, a forensic analysis of digital data can provide key evidence to substantiate or disprove claims.

We routinely prepare material for presentation as expert witness testimony in court. Our investigators have many years experience in supporting investigations and litigation in cases of copyright theft, theft of service, fraud, computer misuse, counterfeit and piracy.
